  The website and door said that they were open until 9. The door was locked by 8:30 when my friends and I arrived. This was March 18th 2017, and I really hope that the employees that decided to close early are evaluated.

  The employees here are racist. It's an accusation that I don't throw around often. So I'm going to be as detailed as possible.
  
  I came here for dinner two days ago at around 7:45 PM. After being seated, the server was constantly just talking to the other 2 guys working behind the counter at the time. It took me a while to realize they were actually just ignoring us. She didn't even ask us what we wanted to drink yet. There was only one other group of people in the diner at the time and they were at the table next to us. The server finally got one of the boys working behind the counter to go up and take the other group's order. Keep in mind, this group at the other table got there after us. The guy took their order and went back to the kitchen, still ignoring us. At this point, we've been waiting for 15 minutes and have both been staring at the staff. They even glanced back at us, but still continued to check their phones or whatever. We finally decided to go up and tell them we're ready to order. The waitress takes our order down and brings us our food. After we finish our food, we end up playing the waiting game again because they just don't want to come up and check on us and ask us if we're done or need more water for example. The waitress did go and check up on the other group sitting at the booth right next to us, something she never did with us. She then proceeds to walk back (still ignoring us). My friend even said "Excuse me" twice at a decent volume. She obviously heard, but continued walking with her back towards us. We finally have to go up again and request our checks. After she gave us our change, she said "Have a nice day" in one of the most insincere manners I've ever heard.
  
  This was my first time at this restaurant and it's safe to say, I will continue going to Union Street Diner. Their food is a lot better anyways.

  Just went here today and have been there before but today our server didn't have the greatest attitude towards us. The food was great like the last time but my boyfriend and I did not feel like our server deserved a tip because of how she was and as we left she came out the door and said "If you can't afford to tip then don't eat out." I found that extremely rude because we do have money. Our server has to earn a tip and she didn't do that. Anywhere else we usually tip if they are good to us just not today. I must say that after today I will not be going back there
