  My first experience at the Court Street location was OK, but then I made the mistake of trying the East State location. I ordered the vegetarian omelet, and it was super lackluster. The black beans they put on top were almost cold, and the "topped with cilantro" part is bulls****. The outer edges of my omelet were also cold. Not worth $8. I also ordered a side of biscuits and gravy; the biscuit is almost definitely from a box, and the gravy was odd. My friend ordered the Havana eggs, and got a barely-filled dish with eggs that had runny whites.

  The food is amazing. I really like the food. The service is amazing, the multiple times I've been at Sol on state street and in that little alley with the cool lights. The only thing I have to say is that the guy who manages the restaurant seems to yell at his waitresses in front of us sometimes. It really makes the meal and my experience sad when I see that the waitresses are doing a great service and we enjoy it but the management seems to be unhappy about it. I think the servers deserve better? The guy manager seems to be angry at his servers, but I've been here with my parents and on separate occasions with my friends when the restaurant is busy and the waitresses are courtesous and tell us if the food is taking long. We love Sol but that one guy seems angry and mad all the time.

  I discovered this place about a year ago and it is now, hands down, my favorite restaurant in Athens. I consider myself a foodie, and I'm not sure how I survived so long without trying it out. I try to get something different each time I go, and every single thing I have tasted there has been phenomenal. It is small, so reservations are a good idea, however I have never had a problem getting a seat. Staff is also very laid back, friendly, and efficient.
